Feasibility studies for implant applications

PreclinApps offers formulation of customer´s compound to an implantable drug delivery system through our extensive experience in polymer-based drug delivery systems field. PreclinApps targets to steady and sustained long term delivery of customer’s compounds from an biocompatible implant that has drug release controlling membrane. This kind of steady release behaviour is hard to achieve from matrix type compressed implant pellets.

 

Our implant technology is designed to deliver consistent therapeutic effects over extended periods, reducing the need for frequent dosing and enhancing patient outcomes. Unlike traditional matrix-type compressed implants, our biocompatible implants incorporate advanced drug release control membranes that provide a steady and sustained release profile, ensuring maximum therapeutic efficacy.

  1. Literature evaluation of API / Polymer matrix compatibility

  3. Mixing of drug (10%) with polymer matrices
  4. Curing of API/polymer formulation in wanted design
  5. Evaluation of curing compatibility – elasticity / extractables /visual
  6. Develop method for in vitro dissolution (Vial/volume/Media)
  7. Develop method for HPLC analysis
  8. Initial dissolution study – 2 weeks (4h, 1d, 4d, 7d, 14d)
  9. Evaluation of applicability for desired application
  10. Reporting
